The Philippines’ Eric Cray failed to advance from the semifinals in the Olympic 400-meter Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Tuesday.
Cray finished seventh, clocking only 49.17 in the semifinals. He failed to surpass his 49.05 in the qualifying heats two days ago.
The Philippines’ medal count in the Rio Olympics remained at one silver, which was snatched by weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz.
Two more Filipino athletes — Marestella Torres-Sunang and Kristine Alora — are still competing.
Sunang is competing in long jump on Wednesday while Alora is scheduled to compete in taekwondo on Saturday night. —ALG, GMA News
