Professor Claudius Omoleye Daramola is a native of Ode-Aye in Okitipupa Local Government area of Ondo State. He was born to Mr and Mrs Alfred Daramola, now late. He attended the famous Divisional Teacher Training College for the Teacher Grade II Certificate before proceeding to the University of Sokoto (now Usmanu Dan Fodiyo Univerty, Sokoto) where he received B. Sc. Ed. in Sociology.
He later attended the University of Jos and obtained M. Ed. in Sociology of Education. His Ph. D. Degree was earned at the University of Ilorin where he has been a distinguished Professor of Sociology of Education. Professor Daramola has held many administrative positions at the University and national levels. He has served on quite a number of committees in the University and edited and/or co-edited several academic journals within and outside of Nigeria.Image may be NSFW.

He is a past Head of the Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education, University of Ilorin. Professor Daramola has produced many Master’s and Ph. D. graduates and has been External Examiner and to a good number of Universities and Colleges of Education. He has also been on accreditation teams to many of the institutions. A sociable and reflective individual, Professor Daramola is a good manager of men and resource. He is a team player and selfless.
He believes that any position man holds is temporary and that the good leader should always seek ways of impacting most positively on the lives of those he is leading. He has used even his personal resources to ensure the achievement of laudable official objectives. He is transparent, tolerant and highly accessible. He has been a steady but silent worker in the Lord’s vineyard, funding evangelisation programmes silently, and ensuring that his family grows according to Christian principles. He donated a ten seat bus to the Methodist Church Ode-Aye, his hometown. He has also founded the Alfred Daramola Memorial Methodist Church, Tanke, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. The church which started with a few members now has a congregation of well over a hundred, all of who are given sumptuous meals by him after service every sunday.
