If you’re married to, dating or even just romantically interested in an introvert, below are 10 things our self-proclaimed “innie” readers want you to know.
1. Please don’t take our need for alone time personally.
“An introvert needs time alone, and it has nothing to do with you. She’s not mad, she’s not holding anything in and she certainly doesn’t need to ‘talk it out.’ She just needs to recharge so that when she does come back, she can be 100 percent in the moment with you. Giving her the space to do this without guilt or nagging means you both win in the end. My husband gladly backs off when I’m ‘introverting’ because he knows the payoff for our relationship is huge.” ― Betsy Talbot
2. Small talk is not our strong suit. Deeper conversations are where we shine.
“The general small talk chit-chat grates on my nerves ― I don’t like it and feel awkward trying to engage in it. However, discussions on more meaningful topics truly catch my interest and I can ramble on and on or listen at length with keen interest.” ― Julie Lombard
3. Don’t try to change us.
“Just let your introvert partner be him or herself. Understand that our personalities are different and that we have our own way of loving.” ― CM Dimen
4. That said, the occasional nudge to help us come out of our shells is welcome.
“While we might complain and whine, getting out is good for the balance of introvert-extrovert dating. It is ideal in a balanced relationship. If my wife never got me out, I might never go.” ― Darcy Johnston
5. Sometimes silence really is golden.
“It’s okay not to talk all the time. Sometimes the greatest intimacy is just being together in comfortable silence. It can be cuddling or it can be separate, but it’s okay to be quiet.”― Jenna Schulcz
6. We might be slow to warm up so just be patient, OK?
“I may appear quite serious at first; however, once I feel comfortable around you, then I open up more and reveal my rather quirky, silly and witty side. I truly am such a friendly, sweet-natured oddball that yearns for friendships and a boyfriend but I need to be invited to join a discussion or event otherwise I feel like I am being a bother or intrusive.” ― Julie Lombard
7. Understand our need to decompress after a long day.
“Most of us are out in the world all day and are drained when we get home. We need some quiet recharge time, and having someone ask us how our day was, what happened, etc. is very off-putting. Give us 15 to 30 minutes just to be quiet and recharge a bit. We’ll be happy to talk and catch up, we just need some time first.” ― Jenna Schulcz
8. You don’t need to tell us we’re quiet ― we already know.
“Please, for the love of god, don’t comment on how quiet we are. We know. Sometimes we just need quiet time. When we’re ready to talk we will, just have some patience.” ― Mia Montez Lopez
9. We might require more low-key nights at home than you do.
“Don’t challenge your partner’s desire to spend a few nights at home by pointing out that ‘normal people’ go out on weekends.” ― Nicholas Mercuro
10. We prefer to gather our thoughts instead of thinking out loud.
“An introvert likes to think about things, so if you spring a new topic or pick a fight, don’t be surprised if you don’t get the level of participation you want from your introvert lover. Our default stance is to consider, to play things out in our heads before opening our mouths. Give us time to do that, and you’ll get the kind of conversation or debate you were looking for. We have some of our best conversations and liveliest arguments on our morning walks because my extrovert husband will lay the groundwork for the topic the afternoon before (politics, personal matters, where to go on vacation next, etc.)” ― Betsy Talbot

Motsoaledi Setumo was born on 15 April 1991, an only child to her mother Glenda Setumo and a first born to her dearest father Johnny Setumo.
Better known as Motsoaledi, a vibrant young woman who was born and bred in Kagiso, Westrand. She formally remembers not having much of a childhood, but can clearly remember where her dream of being a young star began. Motsoaledi says growing up as the only child wasn’t so bad, but had its moments and what she takes from all her bad experiences is the strong woman she’s become. Her mother got into a car accident when she was only 8 years old but at that tender age she was already a Drama Queen, not shy at all with a lot of talent and enthusiasm. She stayed with relatives for years while her mom was still recovering from her tragic accident.
It left her Quadriplegic; all she can do is speak and Motsoaledi still considers that to be the greatest blessing of all. “I can still have honest conversations with my mom and her guidance in my life has been a treasured journey and yes it continues”. It affected her badly; she recalls being a loner growing up – forever sad, angry and depressed. She hated life for years and felt she had nothing to live for. It all passed her by and all dreams were forgotten.
She has always considered herself as an actress, it was written in the stars – as she puts it. People would always refer to her as Boom Shaka growing up because she did their dance moves so well, incredibly well actually. She loved it, heck she lived for that song.
As she looks at her life today, she tends to feel a little overwhelmed. Motsoaledi studied Media Studies and specialized in Radio Broadcasting because she reckons she was lazy and Radio seemed to be the easiest subject at that time. All this was done at Boston Media House from 2011-2013. People around her have always said she was a rising star so she always felt like one since she was treated like one. It’s as though they saw the brightest light in her and it would make them happy all the time and they’d share that joy with her, so pricelessly. She loves acting with all of her heart and there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for acting. She has 3 names and a personality for each, hence it’s incredibly easy for her to get into any character. She wants to be the greatest actress South Africa has ever seen.
Motsoaledi auditioned for Generations on its own for about 3 times and got rejected, but she believes God was saving Thabitha Cele for her. “I love this girl, she gave me a great start to my highly blessed future. This is just the beginning, I know it is. South Africa needs another Charlize Theron”
South African Actress Liteboho Molise is an intensely private person but she opened up candidly to Loren Stow, at times with great humour, about her thoughts on womanhood, her family as her biggest influence in her life, and what she holds most dearly to her heart.
She’s happily married to 32-year-old businessman Thabo Twala. She’s Better known for playing Teboho on SABC2’s multilingual drama Muvhango – a character that everyone loves to hate – Molise is used to having people confuse her for the wicked character she plays. She is sometimes even confronted on the street or on social media, which is even more motivation to keep her private life to herself wherever possible. “But even if I didn’t have a well-known face,” Molise admits, “I am just not the kind of person who would be on Facebook sharing all sorts of things about my family.”
FAMILY STRONG
The eldest of two children, Molise was born in Maseru, Lesotho, and raised by her parents and extended family. She talks about how incredibly strong the women of her family are; her mother and three aunts lost both parents when they were teenagers and the hardships they faced were only made better by the fact that they stood firmly and resolutely beside each other.
Here’s The Tragic Aftermath Of RainFall in Northern Spain. The freak hailstorm killed sheep and destroyed cars as massive boulders the size of golf balls battered a Spanish town.
Terrifying footage, filmed by locals, shows the enormous stones falling from the sky as the weather takes a dramatic turn for the worse.
In a devastating aftermath, sheep were pictured sprawled on the ground, while car windscreens were left with gaping holes.
The surrounding areas were left in ruin after the pellets wreaked havoc.
While sheep were killed in the storm, which took place earlier in July, it is unclear whether any locals were injured.

In order to protect them, she avoids washing dishes and sleeps with them resting on a pillow.
Ayanna became the record holder for the Longest fingernails on a pair of hands (female)after Chris “The Dutchess” Walton (also USA) cut her own nails, which had grown to a total length of 731.4 cm (23 ft 11 in).
Asked whether she has any plans to cut her nails in the future, Ayanna says: “They’re a part of me so they’re here to stay!”
Ayanna’s longest individual nail is on her left thumb, and measures 68 cm (2 ft 2.7 in). This is longer than the Shortest man ever, Chandra Bahadur Dangi, at 54.6 cm (1 ft 9.5 in; see p.70).

Nigeria’s Women Affairs Minister, Aisha Alhassan, who has been under fire since yesterday after a video of her publicly endorsing former vice president, Atiku Abubakar’s presidential aspiration surfaced online, says that president Buhari had told members of the APC party in 2015 that he would only do a single term in office and that he would not be seeking re-election in 2019. Aisha said this in an interview with Reuters.
“In 2014/2015 he said he was going to run for only one time to clean up the mess that the (previous) PDP government did in Nigeria. And I took him for his word that he is not contesting in 2019,” she said
Recall that Alhassan also had an interview with BBC Hausa yesterday where she said she would campaign for Atiku who is her godfather, if he decides to contest against her boss, President Buhari, in the 2019 presidential election.According to Alhasan, she doesn’t mind been sacked from office for her comments.

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has faulted claims by the federal government that Nigeria is out of economic recession. The Nigeria Bureau of Statistics two days ago, announced that Nigeria had exited recession. Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said
“The reality is that Nigerians are suffering and dying, with foods and drugs out of their reach and no among of economic statistics will make meaning to people who cannot afford to eat once daily. Claiming that Nigeria is out of economic recession without any corresponding effect on the living condition of the people is just like they said Boko Haram had been defeated and over 400 people were killed by the insurgents in the last five months.
“If Nigeria is indeed out of economic recession, has price of foodstuffs like rice reduced to N7, 000 per bag that it was when Buhari took over power? Is dollar now N197 to $1? Is petrol now back to N87 per litre that Buhari met it in May 2015? Are Nigerians now feeding comfortably, even if it is once in a day? Most importantly, are States now getting enough allocation from the federation account to be able to meet their obligations, especially payment of salary?”
Speaking further, the governor said the claim was nothing but another attempt by the President Buhari-led APC government to deceive Nigerians ahead of the 2019 elections.
“It must be stated that Nigeria’s foreign reserves, which stood at $28.6 billion by May 2015 that President Buhari took over power declined steadily to $23.89 billion by the last quarter of 2016. It was in 2016 that Nigeria slipped into recession, owing to the bad economic policies and repressive actions of President Buhari. It is sad that the APC government has remained on the path of lies and propaganda and I wonder why the government can’t be truthful for once. However, if this latest lie is about 2019 general elections, they have missed it because Nigerians can no longer be received by the APC lying government. Nigerians should therefore disregard their lies and keep praying for God intervention in the affairs of the country,”.
Richard Branson has given a first-person account of the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma, saying the 185mph storm has sent doors and windows “flying 40 feet away”.
In an emotional message, the billionaire Virgin boss describes how his luxurious Necker Island home has been “completely and utterly devastated” by the hurricane.
Mr Branson, who spoke the words to Virgin colleagues via a satellite phone said
“It is a traumatic time here in the British Virgin Islands,”I have never seen anything like this hurricane. Necker and the whole area have been completely and utterly devastated. We are still assessing the damage, but whole houses and trees have disappeared. Outside of the bunker, bathroom and bedroom doors and windows have flown 40 feet away. I’m speaking these words from a satellite phone that is just about working, but all other communications are down.
For those who are still in the path of Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Jose to come, I cannot emphasise enough how important it is to put safety first and prepare as strongly as possible. Having seen first-hand the power of this storm, please ensure you stay inside, ideally in organised shelters or other solid concrete structures with water, supplies and emergency contact plans.
Mr Branson, who bunkered down in a concrete wine cellar with family and friends, confirms that all of the team on Necker and Moskito Island are “safe and well”.
“We took shelter from the strongest hurricane ever inside the concrete cellar on Necker and very, very fortunately it held firm,” he says. “Our thoughts go out to everyone affected by the disaster elsewhere in the BVI, Caribbean and beyond.”
Mr Branson’s account was posted on Virgin’s website.
