This is the house where billionaire kidnapper Evans kept his victims in Lagos, the same house Chief Donatus Dunu escaped from the night Evans and his gang had planned to kill him.
Located at House 21, Prophet Asaye Close, the bungalow sits at the end of a close facing the entrance to the street.
The compound has only a single bungalow. The compound is covered with interlocking stones. It is a study in irony because carved on the gate is the sentence ‘Jesus is Alive.’
According to TheNation, there is a doorbell on the left side of the gate. Observing the building closely, it is easy to see why the kidnappers settled for it.
It is a single bungalow, so no noisy neighbour or neighbours to snoop into their business. It has coconut trees at the back, but there were no high rise buildings from where anybody could monitor what they were doing.
Asked about the activities in the kidnap compound, a neighbour said:
“They (abductors) kept to themselves. The guy there, whenever he was driving in from outside, the gate would have been opened before he got to the gate.
In addition, loud music was always wafting from the bungalow. This always muffled every noise coming from there. This happened mostly in the day time.
In the night, of course, the generating set would take over. So, we (neighbours) could never have known what went on there”.

The N-Power Volunteer Corps is the post-tertiary engagement initiative for Nigerians between 18 and 35. It is a paid volunteering programme of a 2-year duration. The graduates will undertake their primary tasks in identified public services within their proximate communities.
All N-Power Volunteers are entitled to computing devices that will con- tain information necessary for their specific engagement, as well as in- formation for their continuous train- ing and development.
N-Power Teach Volunteers will help improve basic education delivery in Nigeria. N-Power Teach Volunteers will be deployed as teacher assis- tants in primary schools around Nigeria. They will not replace the current teachers, but will work as support teachers across Nigeria, assisting with teaching, school man- agement and other functions within the schools. Where possible, they will also assist in taking basic ed- ucation to children in marginalised communities.

(STEM)
N-Power Teach (STEM) is a component of the N-Power Teach programme. Through this programme, young graduates with the skills and interest in computer programming and other related fields will assist in the implementation of the Federal Government’s STEM Programme for primary and secondary schools.
N-Power Health Volunteers will help improve and promote preventive healthcare in their communities to vulnerable members of the society including pregnant women and children and to families and individuals.
N-Power Agro Volunteers will provide advisory services to farmers across the country. They will disseminate the knowledge that has been aggregated by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the area of extension services. They will also gather data of Nigeria’s agriculture assets.
The Federal Government seeks to encourage non-compliant and partially compliant taxpayers to come clean and declare and pay their appropriate tax due to the government.
A minimum of 7,500 N-Power volunteers will be selected to work as Community Tax Liaison Officers to work in their states of residence with the state’s tax authorities.

The N-Power application portal will open at 11.30 pm on June 13th 2017, to all eligible Nigerians and close July 13th, 2017. Applicants are to note that the application process is completely free and there is no application fee. Applicants are requested to read and understand all relevant information prior to applying. Applicants should note the following steps:
1- Visit www.npower.gov.ng. Read up about the different N-Power categories so that you understand the category that suits you best.
2 Before you go on to apply, ensure you have a printout or accurate details of your Bank Verification Number or BVN and a recent passport photograph.
3 Then click on “Apply for N-Power Volunteer Corps”.

The Lagos State government has said that starting July 1, 2017, it will begin to evacuate abandoned vehicles littering the state.
In a statement on Monday, the state government said that a task force has been established to carry out the action. The state government said:
LASG has established a special taskforce for the removal of abandoned and disused vehicles and tricycles littering the State.
The special task force is in furtherance of the spirited effort to make Lagos State cleaner, healthier and more liveable,
A vehicular scrap collection agent has also be appointed in line with Section 56 sub-section (1) of the Lagos State Harmonised Law
The activities of the task force will commence from Saturday, July 1st 2017.
Consequently, Lagosians are hereby notified of the operational procedure of the Taskforce as follows:
i. Pasting of Removal Notice Stickers on identified abandoned vehicles with a 7-day period for self-removal by owners of the vehicle
ii. Upon expiration of the grace period, identified abandoned vehicles will be removed by the taskforce to a designated depot within the State.
iii. Where such vehicles are unclaimed within 30 days, the vehicles will be forfeited to the government and undergo proper disposal accordingly.
The General public is hereby advised to comply strictly with this directive while Security agencies are urged to ensure compliance.

The Ongoing cold war between Minister of Transport and former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi and his successor, Nyesom Wike, has taken a new twist as both men are about to attack their wives verbally. It all started with Wike who yesterday alleged that each commissioner and local government chairman in Rivers State paid Amaechi’s wife, Judith, the sum of N3m and N2m monthly while he was in office.
Amaechi who is in Kaduna state for the commissioning of the state’s Inland dry port, spoke with newsmen and stated that the allegations were false.
According to him, Wike doesn’t know how to speak English, he is poorly dressed and is a thug
“By accident of Goodluck Jonathan, I don’t want to attribute it to God but by the accident of Jonathan, the man takes office and talks rubbish. My wife and family including my younger brothers and sisters, no one had access to government when I was governor. Even as minister, nobody will have such because it is not a family business. It is government business. But the problem with Nyesom Wike, and I want you to state this if he doesn’t shut up his mouth and do his work, I will bring his wife to the focus. You see I’ve been very matured not to talk about his wife. But if Wike does not close his mouth and talk about my wife anymore, I will bring out his wife. My wife will never do such. We don’t do family business. I care about transparency. My wife is a trader. She buys and sells and Wike knows that.”
Amaechi faulted claims by Wike that he squandered over N30bn belonging to Rivers State
“The man who says he has about $50m in Lagos and could no prove it is the same man you believe. The man who said I didn’t pay salaries until I left office and now he is saying no, it is pensioners that I didn’t pay. Do you believe such a man? Do you think such a man is well? You believe Nyesom Wike is well? First, he doesn’t know how to speak English, he is poorly dressed, he is a thug, and you bring me to focus with that kind of a man?”he said
“Today around 09:45 hours, Constable Kelvin Kabaso, 25, of House number 138 Levi Chito police camps in Luanshya, left his point of duty and went back home.“Apparently, Constable Kabaso has been having marital problems, so his wife had called her mother to come and settle the problems because she had wanted to divorce,” Katanga narrated.
“Both are police officers. So the woman and the mother were inside the house when Constable Kabaso came home. So the man came in and said I am going to shoot her and shoot myself. Outside the house, there was another police officer Sgt Lungu. So he tried to calm the situation, but this officer said (I will shoot you man). So as he was trying to move out, he shot the wife in the chest on the left side near the shoulder and she fell down.”
“After that Kabaso went inside the house and also shot himself in the mouth, but he was only injured on the cheek. He did not die, so he was rushed to the hospital where he is being attended to. The deceased is Febby Chabamba, 23, of the same house number,” she said.She regretted the incident and told News Diggers! that there was need for police officers to undergo stress and anger management training because it was not possible to stop them using guns on duty.
“I think this gender based violence has had a toll on, not only the men and women in uniform, but the general members of the public out there. It’s more about sensitisation and stress management, that’s what I can say because it is very difficult for police officers to be prevented from using fire arms on duty. It’s barely four days when we had a similar incident where, due to marital problems, when the woman wanted to back out of the marriage, the man felt offended and we lost three lives,” said Katanga.
“This death could have been avoided, and I feel there is more that can be done to end gender based violence. We need stress management and most importantly anger management. I think also apart from our normal duties, we need anger management, that is very important. Especially for our men and women in uniform, anger management for these people who hold lethal weapons is very important. They normally resort to that and only realise later that the life which has been lost could have been avoided.”

Abayomi Alvin started amateur acting way back in primary school. After that he continued to long for something entertainment related while growing up in Akure until his first year in the University. When he acted his first film in a series titled “theatre of Dreams” in 2013, he was only a young boy in his teens with nothing but raw passion for acting and a desire to succeed. Although he studied Sociology and Anthropology in the University – and not Theatre Arts – there has been no stopping Abayomi Alvin in his acting career ever since. Right now, he is fast becoming one of the youngest and talented actors in the Nigerian film industry.
Abayomi Alvin is a fresh graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo Univeersity. Throughout his school years Alvin never gave up on his dream of becoming an actor. Growing up as a child Alvin had no one who could put him through to the film industry, “I didn’t really know how to go about it and also considering the fact that nobody has really towed the entertainment line in my family or among people close to me”. But his passion for acting was no respecter of backgrounds. 
While in the University, an opportunity opened up and there after he continued to juggle his tedious school work with the enormous demands of his career never allowing one to hinder the other. Expressing how difficult it was to cope with the challenges of being a student and an actor all at the same time Alvin relates, “I had an examination and I was also supposed to be on set the same day. I finished the exam in Ife and journeyed to Lagos immediately. On getting to Lagos, traffic was so bad that the Production manager wanted to kill me with calls. I had to take a bike on the express to meet up”.

Not only do fans and viewers want to connect with you via your social media pages, even some producers use the number of followers you have as one of the criteria before they hire you”.
