High temperature hits UK, melt roads

The UK has started feeling the effects of heat following a surge in temperature reaching 104F (40C), causing discomfort to people and melting roads.

Gritters were deployed to shore up failing roads as temperatures hits the peak, destroying them.

Cambridgeshire County Council took the decision to deploy the vehicles after motorists complained that their tyres had started ‘ripping the tarmac off the roads.’

Drivers have been warned by police to take care on the B1165 near Newton in Cambridgeshire, where the tarmac has melted, and Agnes Owen, who works at a service station nearby, said that it ‘sounded like cars were driving on water.’

Motorists in Tarleton, Lancashire also discovered tar on their wheels as the roads melted, while some commuters in Croydon refused to use trams after noticing the track appeared to be disintegrating.

Transport for London said they had thrown sand down to help protect the rails.

Elsewhere, pupils were sent home from a school in East Yorkshire after refusing to wear blazers as temperatures soared past 86F (30C). Kingswood Academy in Hull said the children were defiant over their uniforms, but parents complained that teachers had put their health at risk.

Allergy charities also warned that the hot weather could trigger fatal attacks and said sufferers should stay away from rural areas and avoid leaving windows open at night and early in the morning when pollen counts were at their highest.

An Agege Customary Court, Lagos, on Wednesday dissolved the 10-year-old marriage between Adebisi and her husband, Olatunji Abiodun, over constant battering by the husband and his audacity to give their daughter tribal marks.

Adebisi had on March 31, 2016, approached the court seeking the dissolution of the marriage, also said the husband was unfaithful and irresponsible.

The President of the court, Mr Phillips Williams, who gave the verdict, said the marriage had broken down irretrievably.

“Once the two parties have consented to the dissolution of their marriage, then there is evidence that the relationship has broken down irretrievably.

“Therefore, the marriage between you is hereby dissolved and any party who may feel dissatisfied with this judgment can appeal within the next 30 days,” he ruled.

Adebisi had earlier told the court that her husband for 10 years had been harassing her everywhere.

“l seek dissolution of this marriage so that my husband can stop harassing me anywhere he sees me.

“I want him to be responsible for the children’s upkeep and education.”

She described her husband as a drunkard and as a secret cult member.

“He lured my daughter to his village on the pretext of visiting his parents and gave her tribal marks on her face without my consent.

“I can no longer bear the pains of constant beating and the hardships the marriage is going through.

‘’ l am fed up with his unfaithful and adulterous ways,” she said.

Olatunji, a middle-aged man and a father of two, also consented to the dissolution of the marriage.

He alleged that the petitioner was not submissive and lacked manners, saying she does not dress like a married woman.

“My wife likes wearing skimpy and indecent clothes which l do not like and have complained several times, but she refused to change.”

Who Is Praiya Suriya? Biography| Profile| History Of Thai Woman Who Dated Over 5000 Men “Praiya Suriya”

After dating over 5000 men, Thai woman creates online course on catching rich white men.

A Thai woman who advertised herself as having dated over 5,000 rich men have become the talk of the town after launching an online course designed to guide other Thai women in catching and keeping rich foreign guys.

5,000 rich men

The woman from Khon Kaen, Thailand, who calls herself Praiya Suriya on Facebook, is opening a “club” that recruits eligible Thai women for her “rich businessman friends.”

For a fee of THB14,000 (about USD410) for VIP access, Praiya will set her “club members” up with either “Caucasian or Middle Eastern” men, with online coaching on how to ask them for money and be more confident in bed.

The coaching will be done within a private group on the LINE messaging app. According to Praiya’s automatic message on LINE, here’s what VIP members will learn:

– The tricks to asking men for money—Results are guaranteed 100 percent! Ask them for THB100,000 – THB300,000 to go shopping!
– A detailed sex strategy! You will feel confident like you’ve never felt before. Have quality sex. Have educated sex. Have sex like Praiya! Have sex like a pro!
– How to negotiate compensation before you go on a date or holiday with him. How to ask for a salary, house, condo, or car.
– English or Arabic sentences used to ask for money.
– Negotiate cash up front before a date? Is that really dating?

The Facebook account has drawn criticism from online commenters. Many Thai women are enraged by how Praiya is seeming to worsen their image, while others say her business is straight-up prostitution.
But other women actually idolize Praiya, leaving messages of support on her Facebook page.

“Why is this even an issue? She didn’t force you to become a member. Those who want a rich man but can’t get one can register if they’re pleased to do so,” a Thai woman said.

A lot of women say they’re saving up to take Praiya’s dating course.

“THB14,000 is not expensive at all for what you’ll get. Let me save money for this first. I’m 33, speak a little English, and have kids. I want to have someone,” another woman said.

After the story received attention in local media, Praiya said that she has received so many private messages that she could not respond as quickly as she’d like.

In one of her live videos, Praiya added that she does not just accept anyone in her course, she only wants to work with women who are really serious about becoming a gold digger.

“Some of you are mental. I don’t wanna hook you up no matter how much you pay. I wanna select members who are serious about this—gettingrich.

Nollywood actress, Iretiola Doyle recently opened up on little known facts about her childhood.
According to the actress, her family members, including her mother, were harsh on her when she got pregnant at the age of 17.
Speaking recently at Harvesters International Christian Centre in Lagos, she said:

‘You have to surround yourself with people who love and support you. I was blessed to have people around me; unfortunately these people are not family members. My mother didn’t take it lightly with me. I wouldn’t have handled it the way she did because I belong to a different generation. I was nurtured by people I met and they constantly reminded me that my life didn’t end with that bad situation.”

She continued to say:

‘I felt I still remained who I was. I came from a very good home, not by wealth but value. Education was not negotiable in my family. I didn’t want that one mistake to define who I was. But it was quite difficult for me because it was the talk of the town for quite a number of years’.
